Did you see where I live? About 200 km north of you. I have no problems at all reading inside my house in the winter in the Netherlands. The contrast is the same as that of a newspaper. And that is with my ageing eyes

Ortep, I'm glad for you, I'm just sharing my experience.

I know that on a dedicated forum we all prefer to hear good things about our chosen device, nevertheless I thought it would be useful to provide some frank feedback on my first impressions.

Still no joy mounting on XP, I'll take it to the troubleshooting forum.

Did you try the following setting when you are inside a book:

Layout->Emboldened Text?

It makes the text a bit 'fatter' and gives you more contrast
