If you rooted it, I'm sure you could find an app that would support it, or maybe markdown, but it's not listed as one of the formats that the stock reader supports. I've not verified that though but wouldn't be at all surprised if it was accurate...

nope, it can't.
NST and Glow natively supports these formats only:
  • ePub, PDF
  • Graphic: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP

no matter.i am at this moment converting 8000 books from txt,rtf,doc,mobi to epub.

in another day i will dump the whole lot on to the sd card.

i will them have portable Library with Choice.
