I think you may be on the right track that it needs a few dis/charge cycles to reset the battery indicator and get the battery going again. If you're looking to accelerate the discharge cycles leaving the WiFi on and syncing a few times in a row tends to knock the battery off pretty quickly in my experience.

I found a few good threads here in regards to battery draining and calibration. They've been pretty helpful. My battery gauge said 95% then down to 65% in a couple hours I pluggrf it in to sync a couple books and then it shows the "charged" status at 100%. Immediately after unplugging it, it's back down to 61%.... so the battery is still crazy, but not as bad as before.

Hmmm, calibration is basic on every device. Full 100% charge and discharge cycles are important. Wifi on helps drain the battery faster. I really hope you solve the problem!

OK so my battery drains after a good 6 days, which was close to how my old kobo was. They want me to send my old one back, so I think I'm good. This battery gauge isn't as accurate as my old one, but at least I have a working kobo. I may give it another cycle and then send in my old one.
Thanks for your help guys! |
