Got my email from iRex earlier this week ... but even though I did sign up for the replacement program and have a confirmation email - they are asking me to buy support credits for the replacement battery ... this is getting painful ...

My battery-replaced iLiad arrived today. Took about a week and a half.
Note that iRex did not send me any notice that they had received it, nor did I get a notice that they shipped it back. So far, all seems well with it (it's charging up right now). I'll let you all know how much more battery life I get when I have time to actually use it. |

Mine arrived yesterday. Seems to be OK, everything I sent away came back and there are no signs of damage.
I'll charge it, look for a good book and see whether I feel any difference. ![]() |

Well, my new-battery iLiad has been on for 12 hours now and the battery indicator is down to about 1/3 left. So they've definitely extended battery life.

I've passed the 16 hour mark and there's still some power left.
So, for me, the battery replacement is a success. I can turn my iLiad on when I wake up, read it all day, then recharge it when I go to sleep. |

My iLiad is back but w/o new paid back cover.
![]() I got no explanation via e-mail or printend paper why this happend. So I had to call iRex Support via phone. They excused for this [...], promised [as I understood] that the others (I am not alone) will get e-mails. Some spare parts [due high demand] are missing: attachment somehow for cover. All the best! Hope you are not one of the those who get iLiad with old cover. |
