Device: SONY Reader PRS-500
Personally, I found the young lady attractive and liked having people discuss both devices for more than 39 seconds. The camera work was poor, and the delivery a tad wooden, but the video was informative.

I had no idea how technologically advance the Kindle seemed compared to the PRS-500 (or 505, for that matter).

If I were to hazard a guess at each company's demographics, SONY is after older folks who are primarily fiction readers and are regularly at a PC for some time during the day. Amazon seems to be after a more 'on the go' crowd, hence the connectivty, and their device doubling as a web browser.

I own a PRS-500 that I was lucky enough to snag for $50. Will not be buying another e-ink device soon. However, this video review makes me question future purchases.

More than likely, both devices will thrive, provided the pricing stays competitive (read: drops) and the content is there. Both sites were lacking in a number of books that I have yet to see come to electronic-wonderland, but Amazon has slightly more stuff, slightly cheaper.
