It's a much, much bigger market; I imagine that's the reason. But I have to agree with the previous posters that I can't see this succeeding. B&N is a totally unknown name in the UK; I only know about them through reading MR.

The same was true of Kobo, though. Maybe they feel there's still room for another player here because the market's not so saturated?
