Interesting. Uncut edges add considerably to the value of first editions; wonder does this apply in Denmark, if it was done as a matter of course?

Not a fan of the ragged edge or the way most standard edition books are produced nowadays. (You can tell I'm old fashioned by the use of the term "nowadays.")

Favorite standard editions are those put out by Library of America. They just do it right, IMO.
