Obviously this was published to jump on the 50 Shades of Grey bandwagon.

47 Shades of Hemingway

I wouldn't buy a new edition of "A Farewell to Arms" to get the alternate endings, but if I were looking to one, I might get this version because I might want to look at the alternate endings. Or not...

I like DVDs with deleted scenes, too; sometimes it gives you an interesting insight into the original movie.

The fact he wrote so many endings suggests to me he was struggling with completing the book. I haven't read Hemingway, but I hear mixed reviews. Was he not that great a novelist?

I think Hemingway is just one of those writers who really splits opinion, Rizla. I think he influenced and a lot of modern writers who employ that sparse writing style (Bret Easton Ellis etc), and I personally loved The Sun Also Rises, but I do love 'jazz age' fiction!

I agree though with others though, it's a funny thing when writers give you different ending, or directors give you different cuts. Did anyone else read those books as a kid where you could actually decide the plot yourself by choosing courses of action for the characters??

I am kind of interested to see what the different endings where...I can't imagine writing 47 endings, it's hard enough to come up with one sometimes!
