I find it hard to go back to reading a book now. Strange I know,. But I'm sure if you did, you'd get used to reading physical books again.

i was VERY resistant to ereading and loved my 1 paper book a month habit, but 3 years ago i discovered stanza on my ipod touch and eventually progressed to kindle and my kindle fire, i now read roughly 4 books a month and loving every minute of my time with them, ive tried many times to read my paper books, but for the life of me cant get into it. whats sad is ive went back and purchased alot of my favorite paper books on kindle and have reread series that i own in paper!.
My wife on the other hand reads her James michener type books in hard bound but only at home in bed, otherwise throuought the day she only reads on her Samsung galaxy s 2 (i stick with kindle on my fire, she shares the kindle account with me but uses caliber to convert the kindle books to her alsdiko app. One of the things she and i have both noticed is that since we went to e-book over paperbook, that we rarely watch much tv (mostly stuff we have on amazon on demand when we are on the treadmill & elliptical each day) other than that, we e-read when gardening, when waiting in line at the grocery store, at the doctors office, at lunch time at work, just about any time of the day except when driving (thats what we have audable for :P) i think either of us would not fare well if alien space bats came and plunged the world back into the dark ages! |

I don't read paper books any more. They're so retro.

I go back and forth. For public domain books, pretty much every time, I will read them in e-book format. I like to buy my science fiction books in paper at Uncle Hugos. If I can get it cheaper in paper, I will. Unless it is an old copy with yellowed pages and tiny font, that's just not worthwhile. When e-book zealots get too insufferable, I read more paper books. When the paper book zealots get too insufferable, I move back to e-books.
