I'm pretty sure I did, as under Manage Devices it includes my computer and my T1. And when I check on the T1 it says that it's authorised for Adobe DRM.
I don't think creating the other account will do anything, since I've figured out how to switch accounts on the Reader store, and I've just not used the 'test' account since I made it, and I've set the UK with my card details on as my default one. I only tried the new account today, and when it didn't work I dismissed it. I've only ever tried logging in on the device with my 'default' one. So yeah, I think I'm doing everything right, just something doesn't seem to be working. And I've had another reply off Sony saying that the T1 doesn't support 'remembering' passwords, but haven't addressed the fact my T1 keeps Registering each time I login. |

Maybe try doing a hard reset and starting fresh. Not a factory reset but a hard reset. It'll deauthorize the reader, delete content & let you start from the beginning. I don't know if you want to go that route. I don't know how much content you have on it but it's worth considering.

That's a hard reset, right? Either way, I've done that numerous times. |

Most devices can load a ebook externally with little issue, try the simplest first and email it to your self

Yes Marty that's a hard reset. Once you do a hard reset you then have to reconfigure everything - your wifi, the Sony Account, the Adobe ID etc.
Please go to the link I posted for the Sony FAQ's and read through them. You need to make sure the device has been authorized and that your Sony Reader store account and Adobe ID are properly connected to each other. You've obviously entered something wrong somewhere. The problem is in the software side not the hardware side. |

Just a quick update.
Emailed Sony, asked them to take my card details off the account. Also asked them to essentially delete the account that's linked to my email so I can start afresh, see if that helps. Will also make a new Adobe ID in case that's the problem so will basically have a fresh account for everything and see if that fixes it. Hopefully it will. If not, then I don't know. |

I hope it does the trick too. They are the best readers when everything goes well. When they first came out I had trouble with my T1 skipping pages in a loop that would not end. Of course there were some people here saying the T1 was fine (& it was for many) & I was doing something wrong. It turned out to be a common problem & Sony did a fix for it.
Also Sony was very helpful & worked with me all the way. I did have to return my T1 though. I have another & love it. |

Just waiting to hear back from Sony about the deactivation of my original account now. Though the guy I've been speaking to about my 'problem' keeps telling me that 'some' T1's don't have the ability to store account information, which means my device has to register each time I do login. I can't see that being the case at all.
"Regarding logging issue through your ( PRS – T1 ), as I mentioned before some Sony Readers model do not save your log in Information therefore it had to register your account with the device each time you do sign in through Sony Reader Store." |

Marty I really haven't heard this so I can't answer. And it really doesn't make sense to me. Did this person say why? Sometimes info you get from Sony can be way off base. I often wonder if they make up answers when they don't know.

That doesn't make any sense. I think the Indian rep who emailed you doesn't have a clue what they're talking about. What country are you in? Are you in the UK? Call customer support. If you're relying on them to delete your account to start fresh.....I think hell will freeze over first. That's assuming they even understood your request. |

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to actually speak to someone. Preferably someone who is more acquainted with the English language. And someone that won't keep referring to me as 'Mrs', when I'm pretty sure I'm not a woman.

Hey all! Just a quick update, and sorry for the bump. I kinda feel like I'm kind of bombarding you with threads and posts etc.
BUT ANYWAY I've got the Sony Reader store working! I performed a factory reset, made a new email and new adobe ID, created a Sony Reader account with the new email on my device, logged in with my Adobe ID, and it authorised everything and worked! I'm made up. I just need to work out how to get my card details off from my other account and tell Sony to delete it. BUT IT WORKS. |
