			These "agency 6" publishers have so many imprints that I am generally unaware of whether I am reading one of their books. Then, the few books I buy are mostly used paper, so I don't think the whole thread is meant for the likes of me. |

			Nope.  I use a simple system, the more I want the book, the more I'm willing to pay for it.  As long as it comes out on the right side of the equation, I'll buy it regardless.

			I ignore agency books except for a very few exceptions, so I'm not really waiting, but I'm not really buying either.

			None of the above, although 3rd option comes the closest. I buy books I think when they are at a price I want to pay. When they aren't, I wait. When a new book I'm interested in comes out at 9.99 (or less) I'll usually snap it right up. When it's more I usually end up waiting, and probably paying even less than 9.99, or possibly getting it from the library. To some extent the big 6 are right, I got conditioned to paying 9.99 (or less) for new books, and it's a little hard for me to pay more.
