I don't think the idea is crazy, but I also can't answer the question as is. I supposed I would like it if Amazon's Kindle supported the epub standard, even if it didn't support B&N's drm. I guess my issue is that I don't want my ereader to just be a sales front for a store, any store. I currently buy ebooks from a variety of places, remove DRM and convert to epub if needed so I already have a "universal" device for my needs.
Hmmm. After thinking it over, my computer is already the universal device. I can download ebooks via calibre from a variety of stores and then convert to epub. So my e-ink device should be more like my PC! Vic |

As I live in the UK, Barnes and Noble have no interest in selling to me. Therefore unless I move to the US such a device would be useless to Me.
