vncviewer is not there by default, and it should be installed.

Alright, as I know some of you guys don't have time and/or are already busy with other Kindle projects, I'm willing to work on the Android project. All I'd need is serial cable connection/USB which is doable [according to ixtab (and yifanlu in other thread) seems not that hard!] and I can see screen with vncviewer [according to rastik]. All in all, I think it'd be a useful and fun project, to bring powerful apps and more flexibility (read hacks ) to Kindle Keyboard (ideal: Touch). Edit: to avoid cluttering forum with posts, I just edited my previous posts.

@geekmaster: you've got 7 Kindles?! hmmm... I guess I know the next person who can think about sparing! kidding

Ok folks, the decision is made.

First off, thanks for all the people who helped with the intermittent discussions that helped me with the first steps to clean that thing, even without speculating for a device

Now, to the people who "applied" for it:
I took a look at all the "applicants'" replies, their motivation, and their history of posts on MR.
- My final decision is that giorgio130 gets the device. I simply found the argumentation, backed up by the kind of previous post topics, most convincing and most interesting.
- For the others: I'm sorry for you, but you agreed to "Promise not to complain if you don't get it."

@giorgio130: please contact me by PM about the shipping.

Final closure of discussed topics:

Athough this TOPIC is "closed", there was an unfinished "related topic" discussion about vnc preinstalled on the K3 that I think needs "closure" in this thread. I got the following PM from rastik that should go here about the above vnc discussion:

There are multiple versions of vnc that you can install. That is why I asked.

I am curious where your vnc came from. Did you install it at one time?
Hi, the thread you were asking this is closed, so I deciced to PM you. I got it installed from Amazon. But as I've read, factory reset removes it. Did you do a factory reset?

Here are posts from someone who had all required scripts/apps too:
Code:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1107481&postcount=62
I bought my k3's used, and I did a factory reset on each of them shortly after receiving them. Perhaps vnc was in the /test/ folder in some new kindles as discussed in some jailbreak threads.

Okay, NOW both topics discussed in this thread are closed.
