There's no fixed definition. But I'd err on including them, rather than excluding them. Their Jewish experiences might have a bearing on their writing, if not directly on the plot. Still, OP's call.

That's interesting. Presumably, then, you'd regard every novel written by a Christian as Christian fiction?
