No gadgets today, but I've got over $200 in Barnes and Noble gift cards, and I've been kinda drooling over the Nook Color. Maybe I'll go shopping tomorrow.

I didn't get any presents. We did presents on December 5th. In Holland, on December 5th we celebrate Sinterklaas (Santaclaus). We call the jolly fat guy the "Christmas-man". Both bring presents, but most families only have presents once.

Our kids got those too, so we had a Harry Potter day yesterday (the 4 of us in PJs watching both films with popcorn and soft drinks because hey, its is Christmas !) and it was very cosy. They are at an age where they still love watching movies with us, and we overly appreciate that.

Couldn't agree more, had one last year this year, I got the matching mixer (which was, naturally, the reason why we couldn't just keep it wrapped up for a month...)

husband got scanner mouse and our sweet 4 year old got a medical set and two books. And mama already was thoroughly checked 50 times and got about 100 injections (ouch)

After my family surprised my sister with a kindle touch and various accessories, my boyfriend surprised me with one! My first generation nook (may it rest in peace) gave up the ghost earlier this month after a year and a half of faithful service. After a lot of consideration I decided to replace it with a kindle (and I can take all my books, thanks to a certain helpful apprentice ) but I was going to wait til January.

I'm glad I don't have to now! I just didn't enjoy reading on my iPad that much.

When I still lived at home, we usually got toys for Sinterklaas and books/board games for Christmas.

Do gadgets I bought for myself count? If so, Xbox 360 4GB + Kinect bundle ($200) + Just Dance 3 and a couple of refurb PRS-350's for backup. Sadly, 500GB SSD's still aren't at a price that I consider reasonable.
