Hey Everyone,
I haven't seen many posts of any one reporting the status of their readers since they installed the update. I did three or four days ago. I have gone from at least six crashes a day (from reading 3 to 4 hours a day), to no crashes. I have noticed that when I try to return a library book, I get a message that I cannot connect to the server. However, I have no problems going to the library site or any other site. I simply cannot return a library book, but, I can delete it from my reader. Anyone else install the updated firmware? Anyone else having an issue returning library books? |

So, where ar we at? Can the new firmware be considered stable? I run the 9270 and itdoesn't really crash on me all that much (less than once a week), so for me it is not a question of changing right away. Can you help me?

The new software makes the T1 usable.
I updated on the day of release, I've used the T1 every day since then and had no issues at all with either 'page flip' or screen 'lock-up. The only issue I've noticed since is the occasional and rare double page flip on pressing the hardware keys. But this is so rare as to be negligible, and certainly not an issue for me. |

i've noticed the ghosting a bit too, and usually it's not a big deal if i can link it to a recently opened menu item, since these tend to get wiped with a page-turn.
what i'm finding really annoying is random 'areas' of ghosting that seem to appear on a new page (not linked to a menu or graphic). this may be hard to describe without a picture, but it's so subtle, i don't think it will photograph easy. anyone else noticed something like this? i don't think it's firmware version specific, since it's happened on all three firmware versions i've had on it (including the latest). i also don't think it's my specific unit - i've noticed it on a few different ones. i've fiddled with the contrast/brightness, but still notice it at odd times. maybe it's just my eyes... |
