Last year I bought myself a Kindle Keyboard. This year - something a little different, The Complete Series 1 - 4 of The O.C. on DVD! It was on sale during Amazons' Black Friday week, so I decided to treat myself.

From family / friends? I gave them a list of books [eBooks / physical books, I'm not fussed.] that I'd planned on buying, and they're going to pick from that. Then at the start of 2012, I'll purchase the remaining ones.

Getting the Kobo Touch

it'll be my first e-reader and will hopefully make my life a lot easier.

Apparently I'm really hard to buy for, though. I don't really mind what I get, and I don't need anything (I'm acutely aware of how fortunate I am in that respect). I also really like being surprised.

So I just tell anyone who asks to buy me books. Because I can never have too many books!

all i want is a fat stack of paperbacks. i'm not very exciting to shop for but they're all i want. i only currently follow 1 band so music gifts are useless to me. have netflix so buying movies is a waste. rarely game anymore so videogames are a waste. clothes on christmas is just blech, i can buy those any time.

i'm asking for a nice chunk of the Honor Harrington series and most of Bova's Grand Tour so i should have plenty to hold me over. plus i already know i'm getting an amazon gift card from the mother in law so i'm set.

My ipad2. Course I got it early it that's okay.

I have to laugh at my previous "never gonna buy Apple" mindset.

While Amazons customer service is outstanding, being able to walk into a store and have a truly knowledgeable person set you up, walk you thru the different aspects of the device, and knowing there are free workshops available,then walking out with a ready to use mini computer......priceless.

Do I still use my kindle? Absolutely.

I certainly echo those sentiments. I love my iPad for everything it does, but when it comes to reading books, I'll grab my Kindle first every time.

I got a new dress! (I got it early because I'm picky and I don't think Chris wanted to try to pick one out for me on his own, poor guy!). It's a tan sweater knit dress with cable detailing on the front. It has a narrow belt with it. I also got sweater knit cable tights to go with. My brown ankle boots that I already had go with the outfit perfectly

Also my perfume order shipped today, so I'll get it right before Christmas
