My very first e-reader was a Palm Pilot back in the '90's, and I did read several books on it. Mainly public domain stuff: The Silverado Squatters by Robert Louis Stevenson, The Sleeper Awakes by H.G. Wells, The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle. I used it to supplement paper books, particularly for things that were a bit obscure.

My first modern e-reader was a Nook Color, which I have mostly used as a web browser. I also have a Nook Simple Touch, which I have only read one book on so far, but will probably use as my primary e-reader going forward. I also have a Vizio tablet, which is set up with both the Nook and Kindle apps, as well as comics readers, but so far I haven't read anything on it.

It doesn't help that I have a) several shelves of unread printed books, and b) not all that much time to read.

I use mine only for books because that's all it does.
Edit: But no, I haven't abandoned paper books altogether. I still use the public library for print books.

I really prefer E-Ink printed books as my arms no longer can support a standard Novel for the length of time it takes to read it.

Wait.
Today's books are about 3 time thicker than the ones I frequently read, cover to cover in a sitting.
With my PEz, they all weigh the same (under a pound)

I mostly read ebooks now that I have an ereader, but a lot of what I read is text heavy (no colour graphics nor fancy formatting). Then again, with tablet prices in a nosedive, I may pick up a tablet to fill that hole.

My ereader is just for reading and the periodic game of sudoku. That's the way I like it, since computers offer far too many distractions while reading.

Still fond of my print books. The problem with e-book exclusivity is the e. What will happen if there was suddenly no electricity? A person's library is only as lasting as the next charge (unless they come up or have come up with a solar e-reader?) Physical books may be down, but never count them out.

Google 'Solar Battery Charger'
There are dozens of devices that will replace the wall charger. Most will charge any USB charge corded device.

Avoid the really cheap ones. Do not skimp on capacity (shorter charge time), you don't want to take all day and the next (my guesstimate for the $16 models based upon specs) to recharge. You want At least 500mA in full Sun, 1000 or more if you want to charge 2 devices (phone and reader)
