Apart from Kindle clippings or screenshots, what other ways do people use show the publishers/authors where the errors are?

Sometimes people have let me know of errors by simply quoting a line and noting what word or words contain the error. It's usually easy for me to find, because I just do a search in my own document on the line or some part of it that seems unique.

I've gotten them like that as well. It's an easy way to find and fix an error.
