I made a Pulse comment on 1Q84, but it seems to have disappeared.

My wife bought The Help and 4000 readers but no comments??? 1Q84 has hundreds of readers, ten comments of which half are mine... dead no pulse.
Yeah, I've experienced similar results. The Help is the perfect example of a book that should have A LOT of comments - but none are there???

Now taming says a comment is no longer there...where did it go?

Something tells me Pulse is in need of a defibrillator to get it going...

Like a pulse, comment, no comment., comment, no comment

We should all read the same book and write some comments to see if they are even showing up. A free one perhaps?

No, but I did check on that one day, in response to a comment in this thread, and my comment was not there.

I have finished 1Q84 (24 hours of reading per the stats and also 2300+ pages. It felt a bit like a marathon. It's a very good book, btw.

I'm cheap, so most of my reading is done through Overdrive. Would be nice to have Pulse in that too. Or, any way to import ePubs from Overdrive into Kobo?

Even if you could (and you can, but only by removing the DRM), Pulse only works with books purchased through Kobo.

Thanks! I purchased one book from the Kobo store. Should I back that file up? I would hate for something to happen to my Vox and I loose the books I purchased.

I suspect I could re download them from Kobo, but I trust myself over a company that may not be around in 2 years, or they loose the rights to sell that book.

You can (almost always, but not yet for Vox only books) download the Adobe ePUB version and keep that as your back-up. Some folks keep those books on their computer with the DRM removed.

To HPulley

[QUOTE=hpulley;1862836]I bought a Vox the day they came out but my wife and kids have now stolen it!

I had been bringing the Vox to work but there I don't actually read much so I got a Playbook 32GB which bridged with my work supplied Blackberry wonderfully, has great built in business apps and HDMI for projector use in meetings. The Kobo app is usable but not the best. Which $0.99 epub reader did you get?

hPulley:

I settled on EPUB Reader. Very good app.

I giggled when I read this one - because I, too, read mostly borrowed books (aka CHEAP!). Only about 20% of books I've read have been purchased in the past year, so this could potentially increase my Kobo book purchases...THAT IS if pulse proves to work right at some point...
