Katie seemed to be asking about how to find the paid app. I was confirming it's not needed as both the paid app and the free browser require the same work - setting up the content server. There's some simplification after that - a browser requires browsing to the content server, while you configure the paid app to go to the site, but I consider that to be minor - you can just save a bookmark to the content server in the browser. The paid app will also drop the ebook in a particular folder for your reader. Again, I consider that to be minor - you can open the downloaded ebook in the browser's download directory with your reader program almost as easily.

FYI, I do run Calibre in my Nook Touch to fetch news every morning. I install Calibre in Android 2.1. This is how to do it.

If you have a computer that is small enough (a tablet or a laptop) to read on, you can run calibre on the computer and read on it as well. Aruangra's link relates to a tablet (the Nook Touch), and explains how to install and run calibre on it, so a separate computer is not needed. The Nook Touch is the computer and the ereader. Special procedures are needed to get calibre to run on the Nook Touch tablet. From your previous posts, I'm not sure you want to do that, even if it's possible. |
