Apparently it's possible with the web browser (say from Google Books), but I've never done this. Maybe another user could confirm? It cannot download from a library, though, that's a new T1 feature. I don't know if it can do so from Calibre, so I too would like it if another user could confirm this capability (or not).

You can download files only from website in which you do not need to autentificate (no password)

That was me, a couple of weeks ago.

And at that time Sony US has 950s in stock, they sent me a refurbished replacement unit that looks brand new in every way, and works beautifully. And since the 950 has a bigger screen than the T1, I'm happy it turned out that way.

I was really disappointed. I'd been getting so excited about the 950, after finding out that I could download books from Calibre and such. and PRS+.. My 505 has a very early version of PRS Customizer on it, definitely not all the functionality of PRS+, and I've never bothered replacing it. Oh well. My refurbished 350 is on its way from Sony, however, and I'm going to set it up with PRS+ and play around with it. I think it's going to end up being a gift, but it may not. If it had wi fi it would be the perfect portable device, and it may still be too handy to give up.

Want to know what's odd? I did not order one and I also got this exact message. I'm the one who posted the original link, but all I bought was a pair of cheap cases for my PRS-300.

Not running the tightest ship over there. Had to double check my credit card to be safe.

Yeah at least you have the 350 to look forward to. I will be getting mine tomorrow. It does everything the 650 does except no expandable memory. Which I dont need right now anyhow. Dont care about the wifi because I will have whatever I want downloaded on it before I leave home. Its one of the nicest 5" readers around.

Yeah that sucks. Makes their motto kind of pointless in this case.
