Nope, all I found was the 64GB version. Futureshop and Best Buy are also out it seems.

It's ok though, I was going to buy it for the upcoming Android compatibility. But the way I understand it, the software vendors need to convert their android applications to make it run on the version 2.0 operating system.

I will keep an eye on sales for the 7" Toshiba. Might as well go for pure android.

For those of you who are interested, I was looking for one for a co-worker. Found one just an hour ago by calling around to all the stores. Found one in at The Source Labrador City (which isa couple of thousand km away). They are shipping it for 6 bucks. Worth giving them a call if you're really looking for a 16gb playbook. They have a couple left.

It's a Galaxy I phone without the phone bits; which means no forced data plan

And no idea how those dataplan thingies work here... I've had a call/texting subscription for ages and no plans to "upgrade" to 3G...

I ordered one of each. One of them will replace my iPod touch 4 (which will go to a family member).

These devices are wifi only and won't support data plans - yea!!!

Oddly the only retailer Samsung Canada authorized the 5" version is Lion's furniture. And the sales person told me they have a low low price of 349 bucks for it

I ordered a Blackberry Playbook 16gb from Amazon for $199 (free prime shipping). I read somewhere that you can order them now directly from Blackberry for the same sale prices.
