Search oddity: I did a search for "Murakami" and sorted by date added to the site. 1Q84 did not appear (but a lot of books by Murakami did). Then, just because I was curious, I did a search for the publisher "Knopf" and sorted by date added to the site. There it was! 1Q84! Anyway, I'm #3 on the waitlist now. I don't know why the name search didn't work.

It's definitely not the best, but I was able to play around a bit and come up with decent results, by starting very vague and refining with the "search within results" feature—like someone else mentioned. I usually don't even look at the first search results returned.

Besides... even if I could easily (and quickly) search for what I was looking for, I know there's going to be a waiting list at the end of that road. I've never been one to "hurry up and wait."

If I know what I want, I search Overdrive to find what libraries have it.

That is all I use search overdrive for too. Find books i am interested at other sites, make sure that they aren't published by Macmillan or Simon and Shuster and then check my library listings for availability. the only time it was bad was when overdrive did their update and you could only use classic search what a pain that is.

Then Overdrive came back from that update using Silverlight. BAH!
