Those devices you mention will sync with the cloud. Your files, settings, preferences and so on will be attainable at nearly instant speeds, anywhere in the world, at your beck and call. Eventually we will all have 1 or 2 "widgets" that we carry with ourselves that act act as our internet access, personal communicator, e-reader, and so on. That being said my own personal view of where I think the future is headed is beyond the scope of this thread.

I do agree with you on the kill program argument for the success of personal computers.
