Using whole number percentages will definitely give a finer grained control over paragraph indentation when viewed on the Kindle, but unfortunately... percentages don't scale very well at all when you drastically increase or decrease font sizes.

It might be satisfactory for your own personal reading, though... especially if you have a fairly consistent font-size that you read with.

CR3 shows the indents correctly. Calibre doesn't.
Kindle Previewer & K4PC shows 1.em & 1.3em the same & 1.5 & 2em the same. So it's only 1em & 1.5 em are working or 1em and 2em are working. Hard to know which one it is. The first two are the same as each other and the last two are the same as each other with the mobi file.

In other words is there a big jump from one font size to another? I saw this mentioned with the current Sonys.

The new Sony is nice, but I know I'll never buy anything from their bookstore as they generally don't have what I want, including many fiction titles. So, I'm not even gonna bother going back to them at this time. Also, the Android app is sub-par.

I guess I'm just trying to talk myself into making the purchase.
There is a very simple mod that lets you set the margin as close to edge as you like. The default smallest margin is 40 pixels but I prefer 20. This is accomplished by editing a text file named 'reader.prefs'.

All bets are off as to whether this will work on future Kindle devices, of course...
