Couldn't agree more except I prefer the screen on my iPhone 4. The screen on my iPod Touch 4G has a warmer display (a bit yellowish) than the one my iPhone 4.

I'm honestly just waiting for the retina display screen.

It's not as good and it lacks IPS. Apple skimped a bit on the touch's screen to keep costs down. I would've been happy without the so-called retina display.

I dunno. I used an iPhone 2G and 3GS before I got my iPhone 4. I was planning on continuing using the 2G as backup night reader but after being used to the retina display, I just couldn't bring myself to read using the 2G anymore. That's why I got myself the 4G Touch. I'd rather have yellowish whites but still have retina display rather than white whites with pixelated text.

That's cool. I don't read on mine, so the retina bit is wasted on me.

Is there an app for the Sony reader? I have a few books on my Sony and I am looking at an ipod. I guess they are epub?? So the question can the ipad read epub???

Could make the difference if I buy one or not.

Also what is retina display. I have a touch 4g and it is really great.....

Sony tried to publish an app easier this year, but Apple rejected it. I believe that was the start of the whole in-app purchase controversy.

Yes, iPad can read ePubs, at least with iBooks, and other apps too, but I will let someone else list them because I don't read books on my iPads, so I don't know too much about that.

Ah yes... Bluefire lets you read ePubs with the Abode ADEPT DRM, which is what Sony uses.

Will the A6 processor be ready by Spring 2012.? Because there won't be a retina display without much faster processor.

Realistically, I see 1G RAm as the next big step up for the iPad 3, but it's really too early to even speculate.

retina display is the one thing that makes me happy. Until that nothing is 100% perfect for me
