It really is OK to not like touch screens.
My only complaint keyboard related is the 5 pad. Navigate through a book or webmail or anything is really annoying (kinda of jerky).

Another thing I would modify is the dictionary; make the dictionary window (when stand on a word with the cursor) a little bigger; add at least 2 lines more of text; because usually when I need to find a word; I could do with 1 more line of text (even though I'm using a small font, i think its the 2nd or 3rd from the left).

And last request would be epub support, custom screensaver, and page indication (or some way of tracking where you left reading).

Guess that would summarize the improvements I ope to see on a Kindle 4.

You have a kind of page indicator on kindle 3 --> menu (while reading a book) --> Go to... --> then, under the box you see location x of y

Hopes it helps,
DD

One that does not change with font size? D:
Thanks for the tip!

Even though what donalduck just said, maybe keep it like on the old 3.0 or 3.1 firmware where it was visible on the bottom corner.
But I've to admit Amazon did a good job keeping the screen as clean and minimalistic as possible.

Yeap. Either even you're reading with the biggest or smallest fonts!

I don't care for the keyboard, but it's a necessary evil in order to get the features and price point I want. Looking forward to a touchscreen sans keyboard.

I haven't even had my k3 for a year and the talk of a new one coming. I certainly hope they steer clear of touch screen, or at least keep page turn buttons. Will the microphone ever be enabled in the k3?

Physical keyboard rocks. I've got a Kobo eReader Touch, as well, and the physical keyboard on the Kindle is much easier to use than the onscreen virtual keyboard. Now, if Kindle KEPT the physical keyboard AND the physical page-turn buttons BUT ADDED a touch screen, they'd really have something!

They do have page indication now--depending on the book, if you press the Menu button, it will tell you which page you are on (not just a location, either). It will read, "Page 253 of 622" along the bottom.

If a publisher hasn't enabled page numbers for that ebook, it will still read, "Location 1934 of 23654." In both cases, this does not depend on font size.
