Downloading supported file formats in the browser will be in the next update. Thanks for the input everyone, we'll try to tackle as many point as possible.

That is great news! Warning -be careful when you say "next update" on a public board like this ... "a future update" is much safer.

So will library books (Overdrive) downloads be supported? That would make me happy!

I somehow doubt Overdrive based books would be supported as that would require a heck of a lot more than simply a download. It would also require a lot of the functionality of ADE. If you think about it, on the PC even the browser does not support OverDrive; it requires the separate, vendor controlled program Adobe Digital Editions to download library books.

You must have 1.9 because 1.9 doesnt have it. I had 1.9.2 but i did a factory reset and when i did they took down 1.9.2 and 1.9.3 so im stuck with 1.9 till tonight

which are mobile wiki. mobile CTV (cdn tv network) News, Local Weather for Montreal and google.
I also have the digital edition of the montreal gazette as home page.

You may note that certain punctuation characters are double-encoded. : / % &

/ -- %252F

Interesting, home page is single-encoded and Store urls are not encoded at all in the conf file.

every line ends in a =. I assume they are planning to add link aliases in the future.
Links that are too long displace the Delete icon in the Favorites menu.
so in the future entries might end up looking like:

google=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F

Note: before creating a url, you MUST first test in your desktop browser if a trailing slash is accepted or not.

home screen > menu > settings > wifi connection

web browser:
home screen > menu > settings > extras

(firmware: 2.5.2)

With software version 3.1.1 (Kobo Aura HD) the browser does download from Gutenberg.org, but not from my server. it may be an issue on my servers side.
