i just sideloaded one book and held my finger in place to try and highlight but it didn't seem to work for me unless i'm doing it wrong? will try again when i get home.

one thing i'm not fond of on the new touch is the power button, the slide button seems like it'll be easier to break than the push button.

and i can confirm that the dictionary does not work on sideloaded books ( i dragged and dropped into main memory )

i tested it in a book bought from the kobobooks.com website ( one of my donovan creed novels ) and it worked - highlight and dictionary

on my hard magic book, which i bought at baen.com neither of those features worked.

I would be interested to know if it is that it is any sideloaded book OR if books bought elsewhere and loaded onto the Kobo through the Adobe Desktop (ADE) will work even if they are purchased elsewhere. My new Kobo is still syncing, but I will test later.

I very much appreciated the $10 gift card I got when I started the upgrade. Sweet!

Just got mine from Chapters Downtown in Montreal. I called earlier so they could put one on the side for me. Good thing I did because they told me when I came to pick it up that it was the last one. They seem to be in a lot of demand, also with the F1 in town just a street from the store they all sold out.
