I read the instructions to re-install dingo. They seemed straightforward enough. I think that I could get it to revert if I follow the instructions, right? Or am I wrong (now I'm nervous)?

It's a risk/reward thing. You may be risking more than you'd be rewarded.

Hey, try TYPING in the URL for the "update.golden.zip" from scratch.
Don't just click on the hyperlink. I noticed in the error message I got when I simply clicked on the link: "The requested URL /support/rsc/updates/latest-edge2/update.golden.zip was not found on this server." AND I noticed that funny character after .zip so I copied and pasted but left off that character which was somehow otherwise invisible. I did a cut-and-paste (don't always trust hyperlinks) and I'm now downloading the 216 MB file! Yee Ha! |

You don't suppose we could bring down the enTourage server with all of us downloading at once, do you? Has anyone just clicked on the "Update" icon and see if anything happens? |

The long way (on your PC) is to go to www.entourageedge.com, "Log In" and then click the "My Account" link (also at the top of the page).
"Update" won't work, as you have to first request that the update be made available to you. Otherwise, everyone would get the beta whether they wanted it or not. |

If you click on "I want Ermine" does that automatically start the upgrade? In other words, should I back up my library BEFORE I click on "I want Ermine"?

JBrondos, When you click on "I want Ermine" on the web site, you will be able to get the update on the edge but you need to do the following steps on your edge : go to menu -> edge settings > update now to get the update message and then approve the process to update. You still have all the download time to click on cancel .....
By the way after the update I still had all my books in the library and all my calendar data. I had no journal files so I can't say anything for this. |

Shall we jump in because the water is fine? Have you tried the Android Marketplace or any other apps which require 2.2? |

The upgrade to Ermine probably will keep all your books, apps and data. If you have to uninstall it though and go back to the Dingo 1.1x version, then you will lose everything at that point.

Jb jumping for me is easy as my jump is small (have the device since one week only !!!) In case you want me to test specific application before you decide to do your own jump I can do so, no problem, just post it.
