I do have concrete info but can not give out in forums due to NDAs. What I am trying to imply here is that the scenario here is that EE do not have enough resources to come with a software upgrade to Froyo in usable time because they do not pay to have the bodies to do this. If I will be in their place I will invest in software developers and new features and better integration will bring more customers and more money in. Also contractors should be paid appropriate fees to get the job done in a timely manner.

If what you say is true, then it seems the best way forward would be to release the GPL source and let the community assist in the effort. It seems robot has made the greatest inroads via his root, but as he has already said source code would speed the process up considerably and ease some of the pain.

why do you think me and Robot are pushing in to this. Just wondering, is anybody there left to release the sources? I will not be surprised that one day this site will close and no alternative. I have seen this with Imate phone manufacturer.

I think some patience needs to be displayed. I mean they did release a major update in late May and a minor one in mid June. It's only July the 5th. I think the talk of this site closing down is a bit premature. No?

I personally believe that you and Robot would be better off selling your eDGe's and moving on to another device. Clearly you are not impressed with the eDGe or enTourage, and are only able to bad mouth, insult and legally threaten the device, company, and staff. In this you are at the extreme opposite of all other members of this forum.

I don't understand why you are spending so much time and energy on a device and a company that you disparage so frequently and energetically. You have no shares in the company, you're not on the enTourage board of directors, and you have nothing to gain or lose financially from enTourage's success or failure other than what you paid for your eDGe.

I'm convinced that you and Robot will never be happy or satisfied here in this forum.

You seem to have many great ideas for the perfect mobile device, and express significantly superior business and technical savvy than the leadership and engineers of enTourage. Perhaps your time and energy would be better spent starting your own mobile device startup and prove you know better.

Anyway, this is my one and only post on this subject, especially since I have both of you on my Ignore list and will not be seeing your responses.

In my mind, the Edge has only one hardware deficiency and that is the location of the camera and is something I can live with. All my personal gripes can be fixed in software updates. To me, that is pretty good. It's a lot of easier to fix software issues than hardware. I am confident that Entourage will come out with the 2.2 upgrade and that will be a big boost for the device and will fix many issues that I have. Little by little this will become my near perfect device.

Oh, well I bet that in one year time nothing will be left of this project, it is funny when somebody want to help, get slapped. Not the first and not the last time.

What is your basis for this claim?

enTourage has delivered on every promise so far and have said that Android 2.x will be forthcoming sometime this summer. It would seem most likely that the whole reason for the SDK not being ready until sometime in the fall has to do with their focus on getting the 2.x upgrade out ASAP (probably 2.2).

So borisb...
I am very suspicious to the speech of those who were the first person to register on the forum (all previous - administrators). I am very suspicious to the speeches of fanatics on subjects of their adoration. And I can not call a man who spends day and night on the forum defending the object and sharing the news other than a fanatic.

I'm definitely will sell book after the start of sales of Adam (or Innoversal). But at the moment, EE has the most interesting hardware on the market (but the worst part of the software), lucky I can fix software. But the main question is: if you think that I'm not helping, but rather harm the company, or if you feel that the product is so good, why does not remove all the posts about bugs and stop dreaming about the updates or the development of functional in general?

At this point, all released updates pursued a realistic goal. To stop the return of goods manufacturer. Poor performance of touchscreen - poor assembly, and this could cause a large number of returns. The absence of a flash support and non-working camera e.t.c. could be considered as false advertising, which could also lead to large losses. However, I almost did not see patches associated to functional of programs reported in bug reports, that is what is really necessary to users.
So whether the updates are related to the desire of help to customers and correct mistakes or they were forced steps to avoid losses?

I also do not want to waste time on empty talk or meaningless accusations. So assume this topic is closed. Just think about all the above said.
