If you're concerned, look at the original thread as the account of my comment being presented here is not accurate. The exchange of posts was something along the lines of:
- Someone: I think some posters are really enTourage employees.
- Me: I doubt that is the case.
- Someone: How do you know for sure?
- Me: Well the only person that I know for sure who is <not> one is me. <followed by a few paragraphs on how stupid it would be for enTourage to do such a thing>

Also, for the record, upon having the error identified, I immediately corrected the original post and issued a clarification *multiple times* in the original thread. Someone repeatedly ignored these clarifications--not sure if he didn't see my posts clarifying matters (in fairness, there was a flurry of posts that afternoon across multiple threads) or he just ignored. My experience is that trolls don't let facts get in the way of their efforts to be a general nuisance.

Request to Moderators: Please clean up this thread. The Introductions is a helpful resource for new and regular posters alike and it's unfortunate that it's been taken way off course from its intended purpose.

Hi,

I'm Tom Conklin. I am the Director of Product Management at enTourage. I'm a Leo and my favorite food is Pho. I like cycling and have discovered the fun of releasing source code. As far as I know, Walt is not an employee. He seems like a pretty good guy, though, and I'd like to hire him. Just kidding. Seriously, we need to get past this. We try to make sure enTourage employees are labeled as such. We are doing everything we can to make this forum as open and un-censored as possible.

As one of your "someones" (the first someone in your post is not me), I'll point out that your typo wasn't edited for two hours after the original post. My comments about you being an Entourage employee happened mostly during that time, though there may have been one or two after the edit but before I saw your posts saying that it was a typo (which came still later).

It's good to see you're still pushing the "troll" personal attack against me, though, and still getting away with it. If there are any posts here that deserve deletion for violating the beloved New Forum Rules about personal attacks and the Golden Rule they aren't mine.

Interesting you mention these in the same sentence. I understand cycling is a great stress reliever

I am Jan. I live in The Netherlands and I am a research psychologist by education, though working as a manager since years. Will retire in two months. I use my edge mostly for my amateur astronomy hobby, as you can see here http://members.ziggo.nl/jhm.vangaste...ourageEdge.htm and for email and internet acces when I am out of the country. I received lots of emails from other interested astronomy amateurs, but most of them stumble over the fact that the e-reader screen cannot be viewed landscape, because 99% of the starcharts used are landscape.

Hi, I'm Boris, and I'm Canadian (we can't all be perfect ). I've been following enTourage and the eDGe since late last year while waiting for the Microsoft Courier prototype to become a shipping product. The eDGe looked much more likely to ship and I preordered Jan 1. Its appeal is the book form factor, the large technically-oriented eInk screen, and the large netbook/Android LCD screen, not to mention dual mics and speakers, and the absence of a noisy fan. I work as a Windows software developer and use my eDGe for reading technical books, taking occasional notes, and sketching out ideas for UIs and complex pieces of code. I do tend to use it more to read novels and game manuals (currently StarCraft II), and lately any long newspaper or blog article I find on the web and don't have time to read right away (I use the browser "send to reader" function). I enjoy participating in eDGe forums, starting with the (now disbanded) Google group Guy started in January, a bit on MobileReads, and from Day 1 on the enTourage Forums (although you wouldn't be able to tell from my current post count, but that's another long and sordid story you really don't want to hear ). I value civilized behaviour in forums, and I greatly appreciate how well these forums work, and how helpful and friendly its members are.

My name is Brian Clem. I live in Orlando, FL. I, too, am not an employee of enTourage but they can hire me in a second as I could use the money! lol

I bought my eDGe in the summer and have found it even more useful than I hoped.

I teach at an elementary school and use the eink screen daily for taking roll. My original intention was to have my complete music notation library transfered to the eDGe. It does that function well.

I run Linux on my other computers. Windows is a bad word to me I have two dogs and two albino leopard geckos.

Hey all,

I'm Dan. I am an I.S. Engineer here at enTourage. Although my name is spelled Dan, it is pronounced like the word "done". I'm originally from South Africa - no jokes about foreign tech support please - and before the year is out I will be a dad.

Wow. Congratulations! Hope Baby Done won't be named after some wacky animal.

I guess I'm going to follow Done's lead on this one...

I'm Zach. I'm a Software Engineer with enTourage. I mostly do stuff (unlike this forum) that never gets seen by actual customers (so sad). I'm from New Jersey (I can feel my self-defense barriers rising as I type ), and no, I do not associate with the New Yorkers on the Jersey Shore. That is all.

Um...yes. I have Superman gear (T-shirts), and I'm a girl/woman.

Hope I didn't offend you. I'm just riffing on my earlier post in another thread.
