hi violet, it takes some practice, and you may want to experiment with different angles. In my case and following Justy's experience I eventually settled with 20 degrees and the "fast 180 prev/next" (or next/prev, can't remember), and a quarter turn of my wrist to the right but keeping the screen always facing me, while my partner uses a different movement (that I cannot reproduce, but he cannot reproduce mine). This on the 360. On the 903 I get the FBreader to work only very randomly, to the point that it is useless, whereas the 0.0.5-6 of Coolreader (you would have to get the version for the 360+ and the Pro) it works with the same settings that I have on the 360, but I have to use a different movement, simply flipping gently the screen away from me and diagonally (basically "bending" the top right corner of the reader backwards).

Hi, I did figure out the 180 setting, that was confusing. This is on the FBreader alternate version since the normal one doesn't work with pro. Now I can get the pages to turn but I literally have to turn it 90 degrees so it's horizontal again to get the page to move! I set it on 20. What could I be doing it wrong? Is there a youtube video?

I will check out Cool Reader again, I didn't know it had that feature..I don't see it in the options. Maybe I have the wrong version? Can you tell me what the option is called or is it just built in?
Edit: I had the wrong version of coolreader. Trying to get the flipping working now..

great! it really is trial and error, and I have seen it turning with completely different movements for different people

Unfortunately it's still not quite usable for me or I have to get the hang of it. I have to snap my wrist so hard that I'm scared I'll fling the device! Also if I was using it on the bus, etc, it might be weird flinging the device around so violently like that. For people who are having trouble watch the green light..I flick it and leave it down until I see the light pop up, then I flick back. Seems to kind of work.

Have you tried recalibrating the G sensor? The page turning is triggered simply by changing the lateral axxis for more than the set value, it does not really need G forces greater 1 to turn pages

Yes I have tried several times. The weird thing is that if I just slowly tilt it as if I were going to change orientation I have to tilt it a full 90 degrees before the page turns. Even when I do the really exaggerated wrist movement when it works it seems way more than 20 degrees. I heard that 20 degrees is very low and can cause the page to turn without trying so I'm not sure what's up. I am concerned that the app I'm using isn't specifically made for the 360+ I think, it's made for 60x and 90x models...I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Actually I found out, that any angle smaller 25° makes page turns quite erratic ( sometimes no reaction, then 3-turns at once), maybe tat's the problemm with your device too?
Go for e.g. 27° and slow refresh
Let me know if it works

Thanks for the help and concern. I tried it just now with 25 and 30 degrees. The only way sometimes I can get it to work semi consistently is to turn it the full 90 degrees. I may put up a youtube vid to see if I just don't have the knack.

The thing is though even with 20 degrees, I really have to work for it. 20 degrees is so slight it seems like I should be triggering it easily.

oh no, as far as I am aware it was made for the original 360 - and I get no erratic page turns with 20 degrees. I am really convinced it is a matter of finding your personal "turning style" (which shouldn't involve hitting anybody withina one meter radius ) - and if you read the whole (very long) sticky thread on wrist page turning you'll see that there are people who are just irritated by it and have given up...

Hello all, I'm newbie here and really glad finding this forum (I still can't decide between PB360+ and Sony PRS 350). Can I ask?
1. Can you disabled the page turn/orientation. I have a mobilephone that has g-sensible page turn, and it gives me a headache.
2. About the button on PB360+? Does it need firmly press?
3. The click sound, is it enough to drive you crazy everytime you turn page?

Thanks, sorry for the tons of questions

Yes of course. It would be impossible to read in bed otherwise.

Yes, the two big buttons need firm press.

Buttons click. But not enough to drive you crazy.
You can read in the bed with your spouse and a little baby sleeping next to you.

Thanks for the answers. Other then the firmly press button, it really is tempting to choose it over sony prs 350.

Remember that the silver ring in the center is a 4-way rocker. It is not as stiff as the wing buttons. You can assign button functions to your taste in the Settings panel, which I've done, and I rarely use the wing buttons.
The Pocketbook line's calling card is customization; you get to have it *your* way.
