I drive myself, by myself, so I'm going to say 0%. (I don't pay attention to the people in the other cars. )

At my kids' swim class, I'd say 15 - 20% of the people there are reading and another 10 - 15% are doing who knows what on their cell phones; could be reading, but don't know.

I can't think of anywhere else that I am that would be suitable for reading in public.

Even when I'm in a waiting room, only a small percentage of people -- maybe one out of the 5 or 6 people waiting-- are reading something. Most seem to be just waiting. (I knit, rather than read, during those opportunities. I'm more aware of my surroundings when I'm knitting than when I'm reading.)
