Yes, they are! Anyone who can afford it should have a look at them.

BTW, talking of affording: I cut down an original Sony cover to slip into the interior pockets as a means of fastening the reader. This way I do have the hinges and can swap them easily. The cover was a gift from Sony CS so it was not too expensive for me to do this.
