Don't got enough smarts to argue one way or another. Maybe someone here can educate me about why so many governments with 'government tweaked' free markets are going broke. |

That's a common known (for a 5th grader) logic fallacy. ("affirmative statement of the consequent", I really don't know the name for it in english, I'm a native spanish speaker) The fact that there are government regulated markets doesn't necessarily mean that does markets won't or can't crash. Practically, there is still a lot of people which are not familiar with what "copyright" is about. (special the differences between the most common known licenses). So, for now, I guess as its known: "there is no such thing as bad publicity"; meaning that any opportunity we get to inform people about copyright laws, is good (even if we are talking in favor or against copyright). |

Not quite but darned close which was the point I was making (trying to make) about nearly all the copyright arguments I have read on this board so far.
For the most part they boil down to copyright is good or copyright is bad, they seldom get to the specifics of when or why. To say that copyright is good/bad is like saying that the government tweaking free market is the cause of many countries being on the edge of crashing and burning economically. Fact is there are times when copyrights have a valid use and times when they don't and till people start breaking their discussions down along those lines little, if anything, will be accomplished. |

Some I am sure will find this ridiculous. Some will see it as a serious issued. Me prediction is that the courts, if they do get involved, will find a reasoning awarding copyright protection to the corporation.
