yeah. to be honest, i impulse buy a lot of times when the price is around $0.99- $2.99 and the premise and reviews seem promising xP

Hmm I'm thinking of getting The Murder of my Aunt. was it the OP who said there was no langtail press available? but it is on amazon, and the publisher is langtail for $3.99

Lol. I, the OP, said there was no Langtail of this available at Kobo or BOB in epub. Yes, you are in luck, because that was one Amazon just reduced to $3.99.

There's no indication how long these price cuts will last. Since they have hinted new titles will be coming out later this year, these may be "teaser" prices to get you hooked on an author.

Those prices are a little goofy: it's almost like they took the US price, added $1 then adjusted for the exchange rate. So $3.99 --> $4.99 then 95¢ Canadian buys $1 US ... $4.80 ... which is one f the prices I am seeing.

Whatever. I am glad to see the 50 titles at Kobo, esp everything that's under $5. It's not really clear to me why some of the titles are as low as $1.99 or 99¢. If they are worth $3, they are worth $4 or $5 ... why charge less?

That does sound goofy. The US prices are $.99, $1.99, $2.99, $4.99, and $7.99. I would guess that they reduce prices on those that aren't selling as well and/or on authors that they feel might not be as well known to get people to try them.
