Well, my Android phone is what I have with me all the time, so I use that at my lunchbreak at work or in the bathroom.

The Xoom is on the couch because I like to web browse / read comics on it / play silly games when watching movies sometimes, and so that's just a matter of convenience.

I like the Kindle for long trips, because I don't even have to take a charger, and if I'll be reading a lot it relaxes me if I haven't been using a computer all day

So each device has its merits, really.

I like to read while driving, eating a baconater, and talking on my cell phone. All at the same time.

Whenever & wherever I can. Seriously, I pull it out when I'm waiting in line at the store. I bought a waterproof case so I can read *in* the pool. My favorite new trick is to read while walking on the treadmill -- I get to read, and burn calories at the same time!

Usually on my bed where it's nice and comfy with the lights on low and I close the door so it's nice and quiet, and just read

Everywhere: bathroom (supply of Reminese and Old Farmers Almanac), casino (both ebook, pb, and newspaper-often need to mix it up for hours on end), usually into half a dozen books at any one time, of various subjects (non-fiction) so I can put some light reading inbetween heavy stuff.

Fortunately, I get to read while working. But in the car (while at stoplights) I have a newspaper open to scan the news. Before work I swing down by the river and spend a few 'quiet moments' either listening to classical music (NPR) or reading an ebook.

Spouse is a non-reading TV/computer multi-tasker so no reading usually occurs when she is conscious.

How do you concentrate or should I say position the device? Must be really tiresome to the eyes.

Isn't it rather rude to eat a baconater while talking on the phone? Or for that matter, to read rather than pay attention to what the other person is saying?

I have been battling an Internet and audiobook addiction the last few years. I grew up loving to just sit down and read but, as a grown-up, I always seem to be doing something around my house or checking the inet while listening to audiobooks. I also have a long commute. At least I get my stories in.

I have to say, though, that my Kobo has helped! I had hoped it would. In less than a month, I've read Goblin Market, Pub Walks in Underhill Country, Mrs. Fry's Diary, and The Other Mr. Darcy on my Kobo and I'm in the process of reading The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet and The Alchemist. I catch a few pages here and there during breaks at work and at night after I get home. These add up but I haven't really been able to make myself sit still and read as long as I would like to but the Kobo is helping.

Oh, I usually have some music or the TV on something unobjectionable and backgroundy (like the History Channel) while I am reading.
