I am curious since I haven't played with the other versions of firmware. v2.0.5 is linking data/app to user_data/app that is on the internal microSD card (not internal memory). And when I check Internal Memory in settings it shows XXMB + XXXMB. Has it always been this way for the IQ or is this new?

On the stock 2.0.2 and 2.0.3, yes.
But the numbers reported were much lower.

It's been a while since I used Moon+ Reader, and it was a free app then. Does it have it's own TTS voices or would it ise the ones installed on the IQ?

Also, can you remind me if books had to be imported into it and copied to it's folder?? I prefer not to have to import, but instead browse to the folder where I saved the books originally, which is what I do with CoolReader. Thank you!

I think both use the standard Android TTS engine. Why one would stutter and the other not, I don't know. But the voices would be the same that are installed in the settings TTS page. Also the free version doesn't have the TTS, only the paid one.

Can the paid version be found only on Market or elsewhere as well? I don't have access to the Market on my IQ, and I don't feel like rooting it just for that.

Have you looked in the Amazon app store? You can go to the website through Amazon, check to see if it would be worth your while to download the store app, and if you decide to go ahead you can download from Amazon w/o having to root. I haven't looked at the pay apps there, so I don't know if Moon+ is there, but I think the free version is so the pay one might be available too.

I just checked, it's listed, and priced at $4.69. When I check it on the IQ, though, I get a message saying that the appstore is available only to US customers!

That figures. I guess your money isn't good enough for Amazon. Maybe they'll open it up later. Or put it on the UK site. Or something.

Hi obiwan, i am also from spain, there is no spanish upgrade for the iq701, i have downloaded from the usa pb web there is the 2.1.1 version, i have had some problems with the instalation and i can not install now skyfire or unrar so i would appreciate some information in case you can do it

Hallo all,
totally different problem here altogether,
my iq 701 doesn't seem to last very long on the battery,5 or 6 hours at the most.As far as i can work out,the music player is turned off, sound vol. is 0,screen brightness is about 65%,hardly ever use the wifi and the battery usage section says working normally and properly.
Any advice on how to extend the battery life up to the advertised 8 to 12 hours? I read in the epub format as i find quite easy to download.
The only advice in user manual is turn off music player(which i think is already off) or specify screen timeout,which i can't see would make much difference anyway as i don't read for much longer than 1 hour and a half at the most.
Is there anything else i can do? Any help much appreciated.

Set screen brightness to lower value, that's the most consuming thing. 8-12 Hours is only promotion, probably lying around with screen set to low and everythingelse switched off, reading the same page time and again...
