Meiner hält keine Woche. Vielleicht habe ich einen mit schlechtem Akku erwischt oder meine Schrift ist zu groß (Stufe 5 von 8), so daß ich zu viel blättere. 24 Seiten entsprechen bei mir 100 mal Blättern, 2000 Seiten also ungefähr 8000 mal Blättern. So lange hält mein Akku auf gar keinen Fall.

Ich habe mich schon gefragt, ob mein Lightcover auch Strom zieht, wenn es nicht leuchtet.

Dramatisch finde ich das jetzt nicht. Aber ich muß schon ein Auge auf die Anzeige haben.

Wie schon befürchtet vermisse ich den beim nook lieb gewonnenen "Swipe" zum Blättern, insbesondere da eine meiner Hände seit einigen Wochen "eingeschränkt" ist und damit das Blättern mit seitlichen Tasten etwas umständlich ist. Dei Rückseite des nooks ist angenehmer beim Halten, da sie etwas weicher und leicht nach innen gebogen ist. Dafür sind die Blättertasten des K3 ergonomischer angebracht, haben einen angenehmeren Druckpunkt und das Gehäuse ist abweisender gegen Verschmutzungen.

"Trook" bzw. eine Buchverwaltung, die sich auf dem Gerät nicht nur mittels "Collections" ordnen lässt, vermisse ich angesichts meiner umfangreichen, gut getaggten eBook-Sammlung ebenfalls. (Zugegeben, Trook ist auf dem nook ohne Softroot auch nicht dabei)

Fehlende ePub-Unterstützung (inkl. DRM) ist der Punkt, der am meisten beim K3 wehtut bzw. am meisten "Mehrarbeit" verursacht.

Hätte der nook ein bisschen weniger Gewicht und ein Pearl-Display würde ich ihn weiterhin zum Lesen vorziehen. Hätte ist dabei das Stichwort... Der K3 wiederum ist leicht, hat ein Pearl-Display, mehr wählbare Schriftgrößen und macht andere "Nachteile" durch Wertigkeit, angenehm rasche Geschwindigkeit, einen geringeren Energieverbrauch und das exzellente Display wett.

Jammern auf höchsten Niveau also. Bin bisher sehr positiv vom K3 angetan. Hoffen wir auf einen baldigen Start des dt. Kindle-Shops mit reichhaltigem Angebot!

Ebenfalls sehr angenehm ist die Möglichkeit einen Artikel/eine Webpage zum späteren Lesen bspw. via Browserplugin an die Kindle-eMail zu senden und das Dokument dann relativ gut umgewandelt und ohne USB-Rumgefummele automatisch auf das Gerät geliefert zu bekommen.

Nochmal hierzu: Man kann sich mit jedem Browser von Gutenberg.de oder Zeno.org die Bücher kapitelweise auf den Kindle schicken lassen. Die sind tatsächlich ganz gut formatiert. Das ist doch was für Leser(innen), die an noch nicht veröffentlichten Büchern interessiert sind und sich selbst keine E-Books machen können.

Stimmt, mit FF nicht, aber immerhin mit Safari.

FF 4 habe ich erst genutzt, nachdem er durch Anpassungen nicht mehr aussah wie Chrome. Diese bunten überladenen Lesezeichenmenüs sind mit meinen Macs nicht kompatibel. Kann da Marc überhaupt nicht verstehen.

Die Lesezeichensymbolleiste bei Chrome hat neben dem Namen des Lesezeichens immer das meist farbige Symbol stehen. Das sieht nicht nur bunt aus, sondern nimmt in der Leiste viel Platz weg. Seit FF 4 ist das dort genauso, man muß Addons installieren, um wieder das alte Aussehen, das sich an Safari anlehnte, zurückzubekommen.

Wie genau sind wir nun vom Pocketbook über kindle zum Chrome gekommen ?
Back to Topic:

Sonne ja genau streifig war das Wort was ich gesucht habe. Allerdings halte ich ihn nicht in der prallen Sonne (mag ich eh nicht) Aber ganz ehrlich ich will im Sommer im Garten lesen und solange das immer weggeht und lesbar bleibt ist es O.K.
