Mogui,

It's under "Music Lights" and it's called the XtraFlex Duet LED Music Light.

(It's cheaper at American Music Supply, though.)

They have a single one, too, but that's not the one I have so I can't say how it works.

I noticed that the verilux light left some mark on the back of the reader. I don't know if it's the paint of the verilux or the reader... I'd hope that the reader's paint(?) is stronger than that of the verilux...

Try to put a piece of self adhesive material between them as soon as you can. Felt, foam, any vegetal fibre but not plastics and rubbers because they all contain remnants of solvents that may further attack the paint. The newer contact adhesives are made from vegetals and will not harm paint like those of yesteryears.

You could also always stick the nasty, old-style adhesives (if that's all you've got) to the light instead of the Reader.

I never removed cover so I don't know what is going on with the back of my reader. So, I just had a look and yes there are some marks on the back of the reader.

Question Which light for the Sony Reader?

After reading the sticky threads on the lights, I'm still not sure which is the best light in terms of illumination/battery duration and features. Which would be the best or best two lights for the Sony Reader then?

i think the Verilux works pretty well, becaue even thou there is a glare on top, you can simply tilt the reader 10degrees while reading the top page and that glare is gone. Tilt it back after you've read the first few lines. It is rather heavy, so I use two hands when using it

I got the Verilux and the original reading light from Sony; while the Verilux definitely has the better light, I now went back to using the Sony light. The Verilux is too heavy for me and it's batteries run out fast. Perhaps I should have used some rechargable batteries with it, but I don't like carrying yet another charger with me around.

It's OK, better than the other noname lights I tried (from Borders & Co). I would like it to be a tad brighter though. On the other hand, it's a lot lighter and it lasts longer than the Verilux.

I just got my Sony light today, but after reading the posts, I realized that I have that Verilux thing - got it several years ago as a free bonus in some order. I'll have to dig it up and try it.

While the Sony light isn't bright, it is bright enough for me - the fact that the light reflecyts off the screen and lights up the room is a bit of a downside I didn't think of - my goal was to sneak in some midnight reading. Guess I'll give both a trial run for a few days.
