I would issue a slight warning against cases that have a single button clasp thing.
I've found that in situations where the case is stacked amongst other things in, say, a backpack, I think the button focuses pressure on too small of an area, sometimes causing screen damage. Of course, a lot of unlucky stars have to align for this to happen. Just have to be more careful with this case. <disclaimer> Just based on my personal, very anecdotal experience. Not official word based on tests etc. </disclaimer> |

Thanks Sameer
I must admit the Kindle case with the corded clasp (runs lengthwise) would be good for a Kobo. I wonder if the Kobo would fit the Kindle version? |

Actually, yes it does. I personally don't have a problem with it. I just move the band to press it on, or off. It's not like I have to do it numerous times.
I would have preferred a cover like the Javoedge Mimo, but this was the best Kobo case I found, and I really like it a lot. Padding is good, even though it has a closing tab. Update: While the elastic DOES cover the power button, it is at a slant (i.e., not pressing down on the button) and I have found I can turn it on and off by pressing down on the elastic covering the button. So I don't have to slide the elastic corner off and back on. I am very happy with this cover - it folds back perfectly - feels good in my hand. http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Border...2015928&sr=1-3 Last edited by ReneAZ; 04-05-2011 at 11:10 AM. |

I made my own out of an old PC-DVD case. I just threw some foam and felt in the case with some hot glue. Does the trick from transporting in my back back.

[edit] Damn, too slow.
If you look for protection but not looks, then I can tell good things about repurposed DVD cases. That is, find a DVD case where the Kobo fits in and remove all the parts that held the disc - the rest should be flat. (No need to cut a circular hole into the backside, remove the middle section and parts of the surrounding ring, but leave enough for it to hold together.) It doesn't look nice (especially after a year inside my jacket next to my keys), but so far it protected my eBook readers. |

I agree with this. I made a very similar case a few months ago, and it works amazingly. Its also very light. Its also nice that I can customize an insert to make the case look like whatever I want.
