It would be silly money-wise only because I already have a 5" screen ereader that actually does all I want (expandable memory including) vs one that for my particular purpose has limitations. Only after 1 hour of reading on Opus my thumb starts to hurt from the hard buttons. All those bells and whistles like mp3 I never use. If I am to choose a toy it better had a bigger screen (or so I justify myself) By the way does a 350 have an English-English dictionary? (I read it has only 2)

Do you already have a smart phone? Your smart phone will do the job for $0.

The "New Oxford American Dictionary" (a so-so American English dictionary) The "Oxford Dictionary of English" (nice comprehensive English-English plus American-English) Plus both From-English and To-English versions of translation dictionaries for 5 languages - French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch. I loved my Opus too, but recently decided the 350 is best for me so the Opus has been sold.
I'd consider a 650 for the larger screen, but personally I like minimizing my gadget life so I probably won't get the 650. As to reading on a cell phone, that doesn't cut it IMO. |

How this is going to help someone who tries to make a decision which dedicated ereader they want to buy is however beyond my comprehension. So I just ignore it. Maybe you should do so, too. |

story developing.... today at pixmania site I saw a silver 650 was available. I didn't jump on it. Basically because it cost 50$ more that Sony would charge for it (269 euro in place of 235, not including delivery which is free when you buy online from Sony site) and I find it outrageous. I think they had only 1 item available and it is now sold. Available again in 4 to 6 weeks, more or less the time when Sony should restock it anyway. That site sells only via internet so in case of complaints would be additionally complicated. Sigh...
Thank you delphin again ![]() doreenjoy you do have a point there indeed ![]() |

I come in late to this discussion, but as you can see from my sig I am one of those with more than one ebook reader.
For what it is worth I'm much happier with my Sony PRS-650 than I was with my Cybook or my ECO Reader - even though they have the ability to change fonts and the Sony does not. Regards, Alex |

Let me count the ways
- touch screen - dictionaries - different methods of being able to sort the books - I could do this on the others, but the Sony gives me the options without me having to set it up - tags and collections - ability to delete a book directly from the library with one click - I think it has a better feel to it than either the Cybook or the ECO reader, even without the touch screen That will do for a start. Regards, Alex |
