Thanks to all who provided info on exactly how to download the books--I probably would've been lost and confused otherwise. I really wanted Shoeless Joe and now I'm a very happy camper!

Downloaded the 7, but am only interested in 3 (Brave New World, Red Alert, Slaughterhouse Five). I didn't bother with the romance stuff. | |

"Hope this helps. " HOPE THIS HELPS.....? Did it ever !!! Adanzas, you're a star, that's gone into my "never forget this" collection of cribs & tips - marvellous, thank you so much. Bunged 'em in without a whimper - definitely fooled the dread machine (P.C.) into thinking I knew what I was doing ! 'Course, I do now ! (fingers xing, wood tapping). I'd EVEN give you a personal smilie if I could get the things to work, but here's my attempt - Always wondered if I'd ever use that bit up the top. Koland - flushed with success, I shall consult your tip also, but just at this point, I have to go out and buy some ducks................ |

Don't bother reading or even downloading A Passage to India. It's one of the worst book ever written and it's a waste of your life to actually read it. It's even a waste of your life to download it and then have to delete it.

I downloaded a couple of the free books. And then I tried to buy a book, but as far I can see this is only possible for US citizens . I am very fond of Amazon, but I would really have liked to have an alternative shop. |

Could somebody direct me to the one post that gives easy directions regarding downloading these books? I'd be downloading them and converting them to Kindle-friendly on Calibre. Anybody had any luck doing that? |
