I may buy another ipod touch.... for others to use as a reader.
I am not giving up my phone. (android) I may also buy another small android tablet, or another android phone on ebay (even with a bad esn as it won't be a phone but a handheld) to use as a reader for my young girls.

yeah.

i do don't have mobile me. just itunes and ibooks on ipod does sync with ibooks on ipad.

even with non purchased epub content. the best solution (that is not available) would be to get android to use the itunes connection and ge the sync information. but I haven't seen it.

Well, if you're going to hang on to the android I think your screwed because Apple intentionally don't make it easy.

I'm looking for an answer to this as well. Guess there isn't one right now. I guess the best bet is to use your reader of choice and then manually sync using search. At least dropbox can make it easy to have the same content on each device. Perhaps I'll keep a text file with a phrase from the last page I read there to make the search easy. My readers of choice are Stanza on the iPad and Aldiko on Android.
