It's for professional advice, of course... Try a search for "the laddie at the door" - I guess he's been busy, I haven't seen many posts from him lately.

Are you neurotic, it other words have an abundance of neurosis? Most people have several neurosis including: fear of faling and fear of failure. Are you afraid of doors, windows, walls, things that move (don't laugh I came across that one time). A common fear in older generations has been the fear of technology. Does nurosis control you? Do you go out of your way to avoid a feared thing? I had a dear pal that was quite frankly afraid of fear - in other words every time he got the sense that he was afraid of something that thought in itself would cause more fear which would create a spiral upward. Do you know people that are afraid of men or women (I had a pal who was afraid of men, he would suround humself with women all day long and did not particularly get along well with his pop.) I have known women who were afriad of other women and women who were afraid of men and men afraid of women. The oddest one I ever came across was a very nice woman who was quite franly afraid of reality, her appartment looked like the something out of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels. Never point out the obvious to her or she gets very scared. I knew a man who had what was referred to as tera phobia in other words fear of the earth, he lived on a house boat but you never ever pointed out that he was still on earth.
