Thanks! That's strange. I was thinking about movies when the Tuesday thing was brought up, since a lot of new movies come out on Tuesdays. I didn't realize it moved into other forms of entertainment, though!

Other: generally paperbacks on sale or with coupons, possibly mixed with used/charity books as well, depending on availability.

I put down "Other"; I used to buy 3-4 new paperback books and second hand/ batgain books whenever I found them. I actually spend more and read more now.

A lot of second hand books and a few new paperbacks. I'm amazed at how many books I buy now I have my reader.

Before I got my ereader I would usually go to the store and buy 2 paperbacks at a time. Also I would use the library. I think I'm actually more of a bargain shopper now that I've gotten the ereader!

I'd looove to say I was a bargain hunter and bought used books. I'm a bargain hunter for EVERYTHING else and I wait for books to come out on paperback for the exact purpose of them being cheaper. I read books that the library has instead of buying them. But when it comes to used bookstores... I can't do it. Every one I've ever been in makes me want to die from mold inhalation. It's a sad, sad thing. I am sooo allergic to mold AND cigarette smoke AND long-haired cats. Used bookstores seem to reek of these three things. It is so upsetting.

But anyway, I answered 3-4 paperbacks. I used to get them 3-4 at a time from Amazon to get free shipping.
The first Tuesday of every month is when most of the cozy publishers release new titles. Check FictFact.com for a calendar of releases.

This was hard for me. How about "all of the above"? Back before my "unexpected career change" I would hit the Davis Kidd bookstore after work at least once a month. I'd get a stack of books from the clearance table, one or two non-fiction hardbacks and a few fiction paperbacks. Then there were the books I bought on Amazon, both new and used, and occasionally OOP titles on eBay if it was something I couldn't find elsewhere. Impulse paperback buys at the drugstore, the airport, Walmart...

I guess I should have chosen "Other" but I chose "3 or 4 paperbacks" because that was the most frequent type of transaction.

I put 3 or 4 new paperbacks, but in reality I would only be able to manage to buy 2 new books at the absolute maximum with $50 in Australia.

I knew about movies and CDs, and recently I noticed it was video games as well. I don't normally notice book releases but it makes sense to me that books would be on the same release schedule.

I couldn't whole-heartedly select one of your poll options but I can explain myself (Argh! Everyone moaned)!

Purchasing a plethora of books is one of my little pleasures. Bargain sections the world (well, City!) over are my plaything. Then again, I love to shop discount by going on-line to one of the many fine internet accessible mail-order retailers and loading up a virtual shopping cart of goodness. Then again, I have zero qualms with simply popping in to my local independently run or so-big-your-brains-will-fall-out-fathoming-it-all super bookstores and grabbing a new item off of the shelf and throwing it on the counter with disgusting braggadocio as I whip out my ten year old Perry Ellis wallet and flash my plastic (Debit!).

Enter e-books! Mail order and retail shopping are basically intact because buying an e-book is basically like purchasing something from a web site or going to a retail location in our electronic era. But the bargain shopping is basically toast (sizzled and zapped).

I'm hoping a true bargain bin/remainders something or other is erected (!) in the future digital domain so that I can get truly good books that were expensive but the retailer could not manage to move for prices that make me feel like I'm thefting them.
