I didn't mean I spent hours reading the Kindle manual. I never read manuals except when necessary for a quick reference. Always dive in without a clue. No I meant user info on calibre and sigil, because their creators' posts made me feel guilty I hadn't yet before I should ask questions. And then some of the tech info.

The Kindle itself was hands on intuitive and great. The Kindle-Mac application on my Mac is appallingly bad, not in the sense of buggy, but that it's not useful for much.

I read the user's manual and got ADE up and running before I got my nook. When I ran into trouble I went places like here to get answers. Now I really only use the thing to read.

This is the difference between people who like to read and will use tech to do so conveniently and cheaply, and people who just like tech :lol:

I never read the manual unless it is something I know I will need it for. These devices are simple enough I haven't touched the manual yet.
