I have no additional information, but these might be discontinued, hence the price drops and all the color choices for the Mini.

Oops.. price just went back to $85. Glad I jumped when I did.

That was my impression as well. A shame, since the Lite is exactly right for me, and I have a bunch of rechargeable AA batteries waiting for a purpose.

I might convince myself to buy a stand-by unit if one of the white (or other colored) units goes on sale -- just to distinguish it from my black one.
